'NJPW New Japan Cup' Day One results for 3rd March 2016

njpw new japan cup day one
'NJPW New Japan Cup' Day One results for 3rd March 2016.You can see below results for day one.
New Japan Cup First Round:
Toru Yano def. Yujiro Takahashi by count-out very short match with Bullet Club tryin to cheat, but Yano hits a low blow at 19 and rolled in the ring to beat the count.
New Japan Cup First Round:
Michael Elgin def. Hiroyoshi Tenzan by pinfall with the buckle bomb to spinout powebomb. Super hard hitting contest. These 2 suprised me with the pace they kept. Elgin is my Darkhorse to win the cup this year
New Japan Cup First Round:
Tama Tonga def. Togi Makabe by pinfall with a stalling double arm DDT. Huge upset in my eyes as Makabe was a favorite to go far in this tournament. These 2 brought a good intensity to the match. I would like to see more matches between the 2 of them.
New Japan Cup First Round:
Satoshi Kojima def. Tomoaki Honma by pinfall with a huge larriet. The fans enjoyed this more than I did I am not as high on Honma as the fans over there seem to be. Still a fun match.
Kazushi Sakuraba & Kazuchika Okada def. KUSHIDA & Katsuyori Shibata by pinfall when Okada hit The Rainmaker on KUSHIDA. Great match. After the match Will Osprey appeared on screen and challenged KUSHIDA for the IWGP Jr. Championship
New Japan Cup First Round:
Hirooki Goto def. Yuji Nagata by pinfall with a Figure Four cradle pin. Brutal match with some big chops and kicks. Nagata got cocky at the end when he could have gotten the pin but he kept picking Goto up. Goto reversed a Side Suplex and went into the Reverse Figure Four and sat down for the pin.
New Japan Cup First Round:
Tetsuya Naito def. YOSHI-HASHI by pinfall when Naito hit a standing sliced bread no.2 another great match. Its between this and the Tag match for MOTN so far in my opinion.
New Japan Cup First Round:
Tomohiro Ishii def. EVIL by pinfall with a decapitating Lariet. Wow... Just wow. I have been watching NJPW faithfully for a few months now and I think since Nakamura went to WWE, Ishii has been my favorite competitor to watch. I love his intensity. My new pick for MOTN so hopefully the Main Event can stand with these last 2 matches.
New Japan Cup First Round:
Bad Luck Fale def. Hiroshi Tanahashi by pinfall after a Razor's Edge. They told a great story of Tanahashi not being able to do much with the size and weight advantage of Fale. Not the best match but still fun.

Kota Ibushi is gonna left NJPW

kota ibushi
NJPW's top talent is cutting day by day. Another NJPW star Ibushi is reportedly leaving the company. Kota Ibushi is gonna left  NJPW and DDT also.Kota Ibushi who is one of the biggest star of NJPW is leaving the company due to Mental and Physical toll working. Ibushi currently work for NJPW and DDT wrestling but not under the contract of any company he is working with both companies as a freelancer.
NJPW stars that almost left the company recently are AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Doc Galloway, Karl Anderson and now Kota Ibushi. These star cutting will effect NJPW ratings very badly.

NJPW on AXS result For 19th February 2016

togi makabe
NJPW on AXS results For 19th February 2016.You can see below results.
NEVER Openweight Championship
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Togi Makabe
This one's going to be hard hitting, as is tradition. The two take turns beating the hell out of each other for several minutes until Ishii folds Makabe up with a German suplex and a corner clothesline. Ishii gets a superplex for two, but both men are dropped with clotheslines.
When they get back up, both guys just trade violent clothelines that send them right back into the ground. Makabe hits a King Kong powerbomb, but only gets a two count. Ishii strikes back, and Makabe answers, finally leveling Ishii, then hitting a German suplex that is good for two.
We get more back and forth brawling for several minutes until Ishii starts unloading forearms. Makabe answers with a couple of big clotheslines, but Ishii manages to kick out. Makabe scores with a King Kong Knee drop for the win after an extremely violent fight.
Winner: Togi Makabe via pinfall (King Kong Knee Drop)
Makabe thanks the fans after the match.

Jay Lethal will defend his title to Tomoaki Honma at the main event tonight.Doc Galloway and Karl Anderson are also advertise alongside with Bullet Club.Dalton Castle vs Frankie Kazarian will take place later tonight.
Jay White beat David Finlay Jr. In the opener match for tonight. Crowd was too hot unexpectedly. Both guys work one of the best match for tonight. Jay White is good enough in the ring to make a huge impact.
Gedo & Delirious lost from Jushin "Thunder" Liger & Matt Sydal . What a match, a great hard hitting and back and forth action for tonight. What a performance by Matt Sydal. He steals the show tonight. Matt gets the pin after Shooting Star Press on Gedo and secure the win for his team.

Hirooki Goto, Katsuyori Shibata, Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly beat Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale, Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson by pinfall with Shibata pinning Gallows after the PK.Bullet Club members (Karl Anderson and Doc Galloway) stands in the middle of the ring for saying farewell to NJPW and ROH fans. Fans showing "too sweat" to them. At one point both guys get emotional and mostly crowd looks emotional also. "Daniel Bryan's Farewell"sort situation here.
KUSHIDA & Moose beat Tetsuya Naito & Ibushi by pinfall after Moose hitBUSHI with a Spear. OK match that was just kinda there. Fans in Japan seem pretty into Moose though. BUSHI didn't work Day 1, but I thought KUSHIDA, Moose and Naito had better performances yesterday.
Hiroshi Tanahashi, Michael Elgin & Roderick Strong defeated YOSHI-HASHI, Tomohiro Ishii & Kazuchika Okada by pinfall with Elgin pinning HASHI after the Bucklebomb to sit out powerbomb. Bodies where everywhere this was a hell of a six man. Ishii and Strong picked up where they left off yesterday and signs point to a rematch possibly at the ROH 14th Anniversary when NJPW officials and young boys could barely separate them after the match.
NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship: Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks beat Toru Yano & The Briscoes (c) by pinfall when Omega pinned Yano. More gold for The Bullet Club. Two amazing 6 Man Tags in a row. My pick for MOTN so far.
ROH World Champion Jay Lethal retains over Tomoaki Honma by pinfall with the Lethal Injection. Run in by Los Ingobernables ended Honma after the ref went down. Fun match that had the crowd split about 60/40 for Honma. Jay Lethal has been great for over a year now as ROH Champ and it's been fun to watch. The house of Truth join Los Ingobernables to end the show.

Ibushi gets to his feet and eats a bunch of strikes, but connects with a Frankensteiner that sends Goto outside the ring. This allows Ibushi to hit the Golden Triangle moonsault, which is a thing of beauty. What isn't a thing of beauty is Goto no selling a Dragon Suplex before he gets kicked in the head for a two count. Jim Ross Announced His Signing With NJPW

Jim Ross
After Jim Ross apart his ways with WWE his fans was desperate to see him again on TV but a beam of hope came in when rumors took place that he will do commentary for a wrestling company. He confirmed that he is in a talk with AXS TV for New Japan Pro Wrestling for commentary and now he confirmed via Fox Sports that he sign a deal to do commentary for NJPW. Great news for fans.
He said that according to deal he has to go LA (Los Angeles) for 8 to 10 times a year for a two day voice record for NJPW. He also said that he is a big fans of NJPW and this deal is going to be fit. He said he is also very excited to do this. You can see his own words in next paragraph.
“For me, the New Japan Pro Wrestling business philosophy reminds me of my earlier years in wrestling. I’ve had numerous other offers, some serious and others just flirting to return to TV Wrestling broadcasting but none have had the appeal that AXS TV offered me. We think my style will fit the NJPW in-ring presentation well. We’ll know that conclusively in early March. Plus, AXS TV and I discussed other potential projects outside NJPW.” “I’m very excited about this opportunity to get off the bench and get back in the game,” he added. “My tank is far from empty. The social-media feedback, especially on Twitter, regarding the possibility that I might get back behind the mic for some pro wrestling has been nothing short of spectacular. I’ve been touched by the genuine outpouring of support from fans who have been supporters of mine for years.”

The two trade big strikes, and Tanahashi gets the best of it, then lands a standing High Fly Flow. He goes for another, but Nakamura gets the knees up. A second rope
Boma Ye gets two, and a follow up gets the same. The crowd is going nuts, and Tanahashi pulls out the Japanese Rolling pin for the win!

The two trade strikes until Tanahashi hits a dropkick. Honma no sells it and slugs Tanahashi with a clothesline, but both men are down.

The two are trading again, with Tanahashi getting the best of it before a German suplex that gets a two count. Honma comes back with an outside roll and a dragon screw leg whip, but can't get the job done. Tanahashi drops Honma and hits the High Fly Flow for the win.

- We have Styles vs. Okada next, and it's a big one.
AJ Styles vs. Okada
The two evade each other early until Okada hits an elevated dropkick early that sends Styles outside. Styles leaps the guard rail, but Okada is right behind him with a body press. We move forward to the two going back and forth with big strikes. Styles avoids a dropkick, which gains him a distinct advantage. He goes for a tornado DDT, but runs into the ref as Okada hits his big neckbreaker before the break.
The ref is till down when we come back, and Takahashi runs in and prevents Okada from doing a Rainmaker, but Okada ends up turning a Styles Clash into a Tombstone anyway. A German Suplex gets two, but the Rainmaker finishes the job.

Okada is emotional after the match.
- We see Shibata briefly speak about his encounters with Nakamura
Shibata vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
The two start out with a knuckle lock, but Nakamura mocks him and the two avoid kicks from each other. Josh Barnett's commentary is really excellent here, as he lends a wealth of knowledge to this match. Nakamura starts after Shibata with a knee in the corner, but Shibata grabs a sleeper and drags both over the top rope. Shibata follows up with a suplex to the ground outside and tosses Nakamura back in.
Shibata throws on a Figure Four to work over Nakamura's knee and limit his offense. After an extended period, Nakamura gets to the ropes. Back on the feet they go at each other with elbows until Nakamura finally kills him with a couple. He misses a knee in the corner, but finds a home for another to set up the running kneelift.
After a brief series of offense by Shibata, Nakamura turns him inside out with a suplex, but gets dropkicked in the face. Shibata applies a sleeper, but misses a PK and eats two Boma Ye and somehow kicks out. Shibata lands a GTS and a PK and gets a big win over Nakamura. A great match.
Winner: Shibata via pinfall (PK)

Fale beats Nakamura around the ring before dragging him inside and punishing him. Nakamura fights back and puts the boots to Fale. A draping DDT gets two on Fale, but Fale turns it back around with a Samoan drop and a splash to the back of Nakamura. A big clothesline drops Nakamura and hits the Grenade, but Nakamura barely kicks out.
Fale goes to the top rope for some reason, and gets superplexed for his troubles. Nakamura then hits two Boma Ye, but Fale kicks out and spears Nakamura. Woah. I didn't see that one coming.
