TNA Dishonor Night 1 Results: Bad Influence vs. Cole/Bennett, Young Bucks vs. Briscoes,

Christopher Daniels, Kazarian, Mike Bennett, AJ Styles, and the Young Bucks were all signing autographs before the show. This event was a part of their Death Before Dishonor weekend, and night two takes place tonight (8/23) in Chicago, but as far as I know, these are live events only and won’t be on DVD or VOD.

ROH Death Before Dishonor: Night 1
Milwaukee, WI
August 22, 2014

(1) Bad Influence def. Adam Cole & Michael Bennett. The crowed was heavily into this opening match. Of course, ROH can’t actually use the name “Bad Influence” as that was their gimmick in TNA. Bennett and Cole were big heels.

(2) “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce def. TaDarius Thomas. Pearce is now a part of The Decade faction, and came out with the group.

(3) Tomasso Ciampa def. Jimmy Jacobs. The Decade remained at ringside. After the match, Ciampa put him in a submission hold, and told Michael Elgin he was coming for the ROH World Championship.

4) AJ Styles def. Kyle O’Reilly. This was said to be a fantastic match, with the crowd very into Styles, but definitely appreciated O’Reilly and the entire thing was great.
Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino were shouted out from the balcony as tonight’s announcers. So, clearly they’re recording this show for something. Probably a future DVD release.
(5) 6-Pack Challenge Match
ACH def. Jay Lethal, BJ Whitmer, Adam Page, Bobby Fish and Cedric Alexander. ACH actually pinned TV Champion Lethal. Could be the next program for the title, since Matt Taven isn’t renewing his contract.
(6) Hanson def. Roderick Strong. Hanson was on his own here, as his usual tag partner Raymond Rowe was recently in a pretty bad accident, and will be out for awhile.
(7) The Briscoes def. The Young Bucks. This was said to be the match of the night, by far.
(8) ROH World Championship Match
Michael Elgin (c) def. Silas Young to retain the title. Young is from the area and got a good pop, but drew some heel heat when he tossed the streamers back at the crowd and insulted them. Even so, the crowd was hugely against the champion despite Young doing everything he could to heel it up.
