Damien Mizdow will turn on The Miz
This has to happen eventually. The trick is not doing it too soon. The Miz/Mizdow tag team has been well received by fans. Still, the gimmick is wearing thin. The Royal Rumble would be a great time for fan-favorite Mizdow to turn against the arrogant Miz, setting up a fun clash at WrestleMania 31.
Seth Rollins will use his Money in the Bank contract
I'm a little iffy on this one, because the WWE likes to make its "Money in the Bank" concept mean something. Now, if Seth Rollins winds up beating John Cena and Brock Lesnar and winning the WWE Championship by using the briefcase, that certainly means something. But I don't think that's going to happen (more on that later). Instead, I think Rollins will lose the triple threat match, use the briefcase for an immediate rematch and then lose again. Rollins is a great in-ring performer, but he's not yet the caliber of star as the Brock Lesnar and John Cena.
Brock Lesnar will retain the WWE title
The WWE has spent the better part of the year building up Brock Lesnar as an unstoppable force. Not to mention, they're paying him a lot of money to make what amounts to just a few appearances. It just doesn't make sense for Lesnar to lose his WWE title before WrestleMania, whether he's planning to leave the organization afterwards or not. There's always a chance the Lesnar could lose the WWE title at Royal Rumble and win it back at February's Fast Lane pay-per-view. But I'm not convinced Lesnar will even appear at "Fast Lane."
John Cena's next feud will be set up
John Cena is the WWE's most reliable superstar. So, if he's not going to be in the main event at WrestleMania, he better have a marquee feud to occupy him. That feud should take shape at Royal Rumble. Early rumors suggest the WWE has been longing for a Rusev/Cena match at WrestleMania, which makes sense. Roman Reigns will win the Royal Rumble
Reigns is the guy the WWE has been banking on winning the Royal Rumble for quite some time. However, his inability to improve his mic skills could prove to be a real problem. If the WWE is smart, it would have Bryan win the Rumble as a safer pick for the audience, setting up a David vs. Goliath matchup for WrestleMania. Yet, Triple H and Vince McMahon believe Reigns is the next big thing and are looking forward to setting up a showdown between Reigns and Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. Reigns will win the Rumble. But...
