Dixie Carter is Reportedly Telling TNA Talent that a “Shocking” Contract Signing May Happen Soon

Dixie Carter is reportedly telling TNA talent that a “shocking” contract signing may happen soon. The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that Carter is telling the locker room that the company is negotiating a deal with someone that would “shock people” in terms of their move to TNA Wrestling, and that whoever it is, the company expects that it will bring more eyes to their product.
The announcement is expected to happen soon, although no one connected to the business has any clue as to who Carter is talking about. WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has openly denied that it is him, and TNA is also claiming that they have never made an offer to former WWE Champion CM Punk.
TNA talent is being told that they will begin working again on Jan. 7,  but that is only if the company has secured a new television deal by then. If TNA doesn’t land somewhere for TV, chances are the promotion may have to change drastically, or even shut their doors. Some current TNA talent that have contracts with the company that are about to expire have claimed that no one from TNA is getting back to them in regards to re-signing them, and no one may until a new television deal is made.
SpikeTV has cancelled TNA “IMPACT WRESTLING” beginning in 2015. While rumors have surrounded the promotion and what other networks could become the new home for TNA Wrestling, nothing has been set in stone, and most networks are looking at the company as a “lame duck.” Recent reports claim other networks are asking SpikeTV why they’re letting a show that brings in decent cable ratings go, and view the separation between the two parties as a warning that TNA may be bad for business.
