The Royal Rumble is almost four weeks away, and the “Road to WrestleMania” is ready to be as impactful as usual. WWE’s superstars are turning it up for the top pay-per-views in the coming months because WWE legends are created at the Rumble and WrestleMania. Along with new superstars, memories are also engrained in the heads of the WWE Universe.
However, with the “Road to WrestleMania” also comes stories from all over the place. For example, the Undertaker is always a hot topic during WrestleMania season. Due to the fact that Sting is now with the WWE, the rumors intensified mightily.
First off, Sting is only set to appear four more times until WrestleMania 31. If the Phenom is scheduled to do battle with the Icon, there isn’t a lot of prep time on Raw to build a match. The plan for the Undertaker, Roman Reigns, Sting, and Brock Lesnar are up in the air at the moment. As for the UnderTaker, WWE is keeping Bray Wyatt strong, just in case they wrestle at the Showcase of the Immortals.
“WWE officials have been afraid of hurting Bray Wyatt by having him lose to Dean Ambrose in their recent series of matches. The idea is to keep Wyatt strong in case the match with The Undertaker for WrestleMania 31 happens.”
There seems to be a quandary with the four aforementioned superstars. The WWE doesn’t know what to do with all four of them, because only one match can be the true main event. Yesterday, reported that Vince McMahon and Triple H couldn’t agree on the plans for any of them.
Countless options exist for each man. Brock Lesnar could defeat John Cena at the Royal Rumble, and then lose to Seth Rollins as he cashes in his briefcase. That would possibly lead to a rematch at WrestleMania 31. Sting should fight the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, but Vince McMahon wants him to fight HHH instead.
As for Roman Reigns, the plan is for him to win the Royal Rumble and have his “WrestleMania Moment” with the WWE World Heavyweight championship. I can understand the problems the WWE Creative team is facing at the moment. A multitude of options are open, but there is only one true great idea that will sit well with the WWE Universe.
Booking WrestleMania 31, which could be the last match for Sting, Brock Lesnar, and the Undertaker, is not as easy as billed. Sting and Taker may retire, while Lesnar will be on the first bus to the UFC. Roman Reigns is getting the push as the WWE’s next golden boy.
