The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that TNA Wrestling turned down the idea Jim Ross pitched to them regarding having Mike Tenay join him to host the January 4 Tokyo Dome show after making contact with Dixie Carter and John Gaburick this past week.
The idea he pitched was for GFW/NJPW to promote TNA during their broadcast in exchange for Tenay's commentary services.
Tenay recently agreed to a new one-year deal with TNA that will see him step down as the lead announcer but remain as an on-screen personality. The Observer suggests that the fact Tenay stayed with TNA is an indication that Jeff Jarrett is not close to signing a television deal for GFW otherwise he would have made a move on Tenay.
Global Force Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett is coming to WrestlingNewsSource.com on December 24 for a BLOCKBUSTER interview ONE WEEK before GFW’S presentation of the 24th NJPW extravaganza at the Tokyo Dome!
