3/4 WWE NXT Results: Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks Rematch, Solomon Crowe in Action, Baron Corbin Continue

sasha banksA video package opens the show, showing NXT Champion Kevin Owens attacking Alex Riley during last week’s show.
-Backstage, Alex Riley tells William Regal to give him a match with Owens. Regal says he can either be a competitor or a commentator, but he can’t have both, and tells Riley to make a decision.
ADAM ROSE vs. TYLER BREEZE
Breeze has his selfie stick. This one is really slow, with both guys taking more time to taunt and flaunt than actually wrestle. Rose fires up with a series of shoulder tackles. He hits a clothesline in the corner, a powerslam, but runs into the Beauty Shot. After the match Tyler fences the Rosebuds with his selfie stick to get through them.
Winner: Tyler Breeze
Alexa Bliss is backstage talking about her nose injury, and says she’s “in a good place”. She’s looking forward to tonight’s Women’s title match and will be watching very closely.

WESLEY BLAKE & BUDDY MURPHY vs. ANGELO DAWKINS & SAWYER FULTON
The challengers have a poor-man’s World’s Greatest Tag Team thing going on, with the amateur tights. Fulton gets a few moves in on Murphy, but the champs alternate tags and dominate him for a few minutes. Hot tag made to Dawkins who starts throwing big haymakers at Murphy. The champs hit their vertical suplex / frog splash combo for the quick win. Blake hit the splash from clear across the ring. This probably could have been a great match if they gave them any time to work…
Winners: Blake & Murphy

-Bayley wishes Charlotte good luck in her match tonight. Emma shows up and doesn’t want to use the bubble machine with her. Emma talks about Bayley’s hugging and niceness, and says she did the same thing on Raw and it got her nowhere. She leaves Bayley standing there looking sad.

BARON CORBIN vs. TONY BRIGGS
The crowd starts counting at the bell, but quickly gives up. As Corbin goes to work on his opponent, Kevin Owens walks out and stands behind the commentary booth. Corbin wins with the End of Days in less than a minute.
Winner: Baron Corbin
-Owens stares down Riley who tries to ignore him, as Jason Albert attempts to calm him down. Owens takes his water bottle and pours it all over him. Riley leaps at him, but Albert holds him back as the champion walks away, mocking him.
-They air a message from Sami Zayn, who is back from the Abu Dhabi tour. He says the landscape of NXT has changed drastically in a short time, with guys like Rhino and Brian Kendrick coming back, new contenders, new champions and Kevin Owens at the top of the mountain. Zayn says it’s his 13th anniversary of being in wrestling, but for the first time he feels like he’s not mentally prepared. He says he’s walking through the streets of Montreal  where their rivalry all started – to get some perspective.
CJ Parker is trying to talk with William Regal, but Alex Riley busts in and starts screaming at him. He demands a match with Owens, and Regal says he’ll have to sign a talent contract and won’t get the match until he thinks Riley is ready for it. Riley tells Parker he’s starting with him next week, and he’s going to kick his ass.
BULL DEMPSEY vs. SOLOMON CROWE
Bull bullies Crowe to start off the match. They do a few spots with Crowe trying to lift him, which of course doesn’t work. They sell a rest hold for a few minutes, but eventually he fights back and actually lifts Bull for a body slam. Dempsey hits him with a butt bump but misses a headbutt from the top rope. Crowe hits a running knee and does some sort of headbutt using the ropes for leverage for the 1-2-3.
Winner: Solomon Crowe
NXT Women’s Championship Match
SASHA BANKS (c) vs. CHARLOTTE
Banks tries to escape the match early on, but Charlotte runs after her and throws her back into the ring, locking in the Figure Four. They cut to commercial, and Banks is in control with a submission hold.
Charlotte fights back into the match and hits a standing moonsault, but Sasha works her over in the ropes. Banks hits the double knees attack in the corner and taunts with a “Woo!” on the top rope. She uses a 5-count to stretch the back over the ring post, and continues kick away at the challenger.
They slow things down with rest holds. Banks locks in her cross-arm submission but Charlotte fights back, only to run into a dropkick. She hits the Bank Statement; Charlotte tries to roll it over but Sasha holds on until she finally forces a ropebreak. They fight to the floor and the champ makes an 8-count.
They trade right hands, then knife-edge chops. Charlotte with a nasty neckbreaker and a massive spear for a nearfall. The crowd chants “better than Reigns”, which isn’t anywhere near accurate. Banks teases a Figure Four but Charlotte kicks out and clips her legs. She goes to the corner and locks in the Figure Four on the ring post until the referee forces her to break it up. Charlotte goes for Natural Selection but Banks rolls her up with her feet in the ropes for leverage. 1-2-3.
Winner: Sasha Banks
