The UFC’s debut in Scotland has a women’s fight added in the line up as the country's own Joanne Calderwood (9-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) takes on Bec Rawlings(6-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC). UFC Fight Night 72 takes place July 18 at SSE Hydro in Glasgow. FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass are expected to carry the card.
Calderwood (9-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) a veteran of Season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” had a successful official UFC debut when she won by unanimous decision from Seo Hee Ham in December at the TUF 20 Finale. But in April in Poland, Maryna Moroz forced her to tap out with a first-round armbar. Now its a chance to get his honor back in front of his home crowd.
Bec Rawlings (6-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) from Australia went the opposite way. She lost her debut match to Heather Jo Clark by decision. But she just back on track two weeks ago with a first-round submission of Lisa Ellis in her home country.
With the addition, the latest UFC Fight Night 72 card now includes:
