Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Jessica Penne strawweight title fight has been announced as the five-round championship main event for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 69 mixed martial arts (MMA) extravaganza, set for June 20, 2015 inside the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany.
That spot originally belonged to Alexander Gustafsson vs. Glover Teixeira; however, "The Mauler" has been injured and forced to withdraw from the UFC Fight Pass event.
The injury to the top-ranked Swede was not disclosed in the original report by UFC.com, nor was the future of Teixeira, who can't seem to catch a break these days. I wouldn't be surprised to see him shifted to a card in Brazil, but that's nothing more than speculation at this point.
Jedrzejczyk captured the 115-pound title by turning away Carla Esparza at UFC 185 back in March. Penne, meanwhile, won her Octagon debut with a split-decision win over fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 20 standout Randa Markos.
