UFC President Dana White revealed that CM Punk will likely fight Mickey Gall in his debut UFC fight, But now during his appearance he said that CM Punk will not start from UFC 200.
“The CM Punk fight is probably going to be in June. UFC 199 is what I’m thinking”, said White.
As for how well CM Punk will fare in the UFC and MMA in general, White offered the following comment, comparing him to fellow former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar:
“You know CM Punk has never fought, he’s just started training and, you know… this is a tough business to get into [laughs]. When Brock Lesnar came into the UFC, you know, he had a serious wrestling pedigree. And not just WWE wrestling, legit collegiate wrestling. CM Punk doesn’t have any of that. It’s going to be tough for him.” He also revealed that Ronda will not fight at UFC 200 because of her commitment for filming “Roadhouse.”
