After months of speculation (and a knee injury last summer that put Punk on the shelf), the former WWE Champion’s first opponent was announced as Mickey Gall. Their fight was tentatively scheduled for UFC 199, but Punk’s injury will hold it off until a later event. Dave Meltzer is reporting that Punk will need to wait another four to six weeks to start training again, meaning that UFC 200 or 201 could potentially host his debut.
