Just 24 hours after defeating Seth Rollins in a hard-fought match and only two nights until a rematch with the architect, Roman Reigns must square off with Rusev in the SmackDownmain event.
For Reigns, the match is an opportunity to enter Night of Champions riding an unstoppable tidal wave of momentum. Becoming the first man to pin Rusev's shoulders to the mat would earn Reigns a tremendous amount of recognition and would make him a force that no amount of motivation on Rollins' part or any interference from The Authority would be able to stop.
A Rusev win would give him confidence that, regardless of how many times he had been one-upped by Mark Henry over the last month, he could roll into Sunday's pay-per-view and knock off the former heavyweight champion.
Bray Wyatt's budding rivalry with The Big Show continues as the World's Largest Athlete teams with Los Matadores to meet the dangerous Wyatt Family. Would Bray get the upper hand in the rivalry after the giant's impressive show of dominance on Raw, or would Big Show continue to roll through The Eater of Worlds?
